Bloomington Man Fatally Shot in Urbana, Police Seek Public’s Help

Urbana, IL – A 44-year-old Bloomington man was fatally shot early Saturday morning in Urbana, prompting a police investigation. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue at around 3:50 a.m. and found the man wounded.

Identified as Ramon T. Clark of Bloomington, the victim received emergency treatment before being transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made.

The Champaign County Coroner’s Office confirmed Clark’s identity, while Urbana Police Department detectives and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services processed the scene. Officers canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage.
