Bloomington, IN – Indiana State Police in Bloomington have initiated a death investigation following a bizarre incident reported on Sunday, February 18th.

The situation began with a complaint about a man ramming a vehicle in Monroe County, according to Indiana State Police. Responding to a disturbance call at a residence on Zikes Road, south of Bloomington, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered a male individual who had crashed into a parked vehicle.

The man, suffering from a medical emergency, received immediate attention from deputies and the local fire department, who attempted to use Narcan. Despite these efforts and subsequent EMS treatment, the Monroe County Coroner’s Office pronounced the individual dead.

Indiana State Police detectives and crime scene investigators are now probing the incident. Preliminary findings suggest the man’s injuries were not related to the use of force.

The investigation continues, and an autopsy is pending. Further details have yet to be released.
