Grand Forks, ND – A frigid start to Friday will give way to a warming trend through the weekend, with rain possible by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday morning will see wind chills as low as -19°F before temperatures rise to a high of 22°F. Light southwest winds up to 16 mph may bring some relief, but the night will remain cold, dropping to 12°F under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday brings a more comfortable high of 34°F with light southwest winds, making for a mild winter day. Cloud cover increases Saturday night with a low of 20°F.

Sunday marks a shift, with a 30% chance of rain and a high of 40°F. Winds will be stronger, reaching gusts up to 24 mph. Rain chances continue into Sunday night, with gusty winds and a low of 33°F.
