According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, isolated storms are expected to linger into Friday night, with overnight lows hovering around 70 degrees for most areas. While the northwest corner may see drier conditions tonight, heavier rain is likely to return on Saturday.
Cities like Montgomery (93°), Selma (92°), and Demopolis (91°) are facing hot, humid conditions today, with a 20–30% chance of storms developing by mid-afternoon. Rain chances increase significantly Saturday, with scattered to numerous showers expected across the region. Gadsden, Anniston, and Clanton will see highs around 90° with potential localized flooding in low-lying spots.
