Birmingham, AL – Rain continues to spread across central Alabama today, bringing widespread showers and cooler temperatures to much of the region, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Highs will stay in the low to upper 50s, with the heaviest rain likely through the afternoon and early evening. Rain chances remain overnight, as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 40s.
Forecasters say conditions will improve Thursday, with drier and partly sunny skies returning as a cooler, more stable air mass moves in behind the front. Highs will again reach the upper 50s to near 60°F, making for a mild and comfortable end to the week.
No significant flooding or severe weather is expected, though roads may become slick in heavier rain areas. The weekend outlook shows continued dry, seasonable weather, perfect for outdoor plans heading into Halloween.
