Afterward, most of the region will settle back into an 80s-60s pattern for highs and lows, making for more comfortable mornings and evenings.
Fair weather will dominate much of central Alabama, but a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible each afternoon through early next week. Rain chances remain limited, with most communities staying dry on a daily basis.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours Friday and Saturday, when the combination of heat and humidity will be strongest.
