Birmingham, Ala. – Central Alabama will see its hottest stretch of the week Friday and Saturday, with highs climbing into the lower to middle 90s before a shift to cooler conditions takes hold. The heat will be brief, but drivers and outdoor workers should take precautions against midday sun and humidity.

According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, highs across cities like Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Gadsden will range from 92 to 95 degrees Friday and Saturday. Afterward, most of the region will settle back into an 80s-60s pattern for highs and lows, making for more comfortable mornings and evenings.

Fair weather will dominate much of central Alabama, but a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible each afternoon through early next week. Rain chances remain limited, with most communities staying dry on a daily basis.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours Friday and Saturday, when the combination of heat and humidity will be strongest.

The brief warm-up fades by Sunday, when highs dip back into the mid-80s and remain there through midweek, with occasional showers possible.
