Birmingham, AL – Central Alabama residents can expect another hot and mostly dry day Tuesday, with just a small chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Forecast highs will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s across the region, with Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Demopolis all projected to reach around 92 degrees. Birmingham and Gadsden are forecast near 90, while Auburn and Alex City should top out around 88 degrees.
According to the NWS, only a slight chance of rain is in the outlook, with the best potential for a stray shower or thunderstorm north of Interstate 20. Most communities, however, will stay dry under partly cloudy skies.
Overnight lows are expected to dip into the low to mid-60s, providing some relief from the daytime heat. Hamilton, Jasper, and Gadsden may see lows around 63 to 65 degrees, while Birmingham will bottom out near 67 degrees.
Forecasters note that despite brief chances for rain, the pattern remains locked in a late-summer setup. “Most will just be dry and hot. Sorry, we miss fake fall too,” the NWS Birmingham office said in a Tuesday morning update.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, especially during peak afternoon hours.
