Central Alabama will experience mild temperatures and intermittent showers to start the week, with rain chances expected to linger through midweek. Residents can expect a mix of clouds, sun, and a warming trend that brings highs near 70 degrees Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, scattered showers are possible throughout the day Monday, mainly before early afternoon. Southeast winds will remain calm at 5 to 10 mph, contributing to a mild high of 68 degrees. The region will remain mostly cloudy overnight, with lows dipping to the low 50s.

Rain chances increase slightly heading into Tuesday, with a 30% chance of isolated showers during the day. Highs will remain mild, hovering around 70 degrees, while nighttime temperatures stay consistent in the mid-50s. The weather pattern transitions midweek as a stronger system brings showers Wednesday, with rain chances rising to 60%.

By Thursday, drier and cooler conditions will settle in, with sunny skies and daytime highs near 55 degrees. Nighttime lows will drop sharply to the mid-30s, marking a noticeable cooldown heading into the latter half of the week.

Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, particularly Monday and Wednesday when showers could impact commutes. Southeast Alabama roadways, including major routes such as I-20 and I-65, may see slick spots during periods of rain.

Looking ahead, clear skies and cooler temperatures will dominate by the weekend, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
