BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Drivers across the Southern Tier should expect reduced visibility Thursday morning as patchy fog lingers between 8 and 9 a.m., before skies clear and temperatures climb near 82. Winds will shift northwest by late afternoon, making for a mild and dry evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, calm and mostly clear conditions will follow overnight, with lows dropping into the upper 50s. Patchy fog is again possible early Friday, though sunshine will quickly return with a high around 75 and a light northwest breeze.

The weekend looks favorable for outdoor plans, with Saturday and Sunday both bringing partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. Nights will cool off quickly, with temperatures dipping into the low 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Travelers should remain cautious during morning hours when fog may reduce visibility on rural roads and highways, particularly in low-lying valleys. Otherwise, no major weather disruptions are expected across Broome County and surrounding areas until early next week.

By Tuesday, a slight chance of showers returns, though rainfall totals appear light. Warnings are not anticipated at this time.
