Binghamton, NY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton reports that the first Monday of November will begin dry before showers move into central and northern New York this afternoon. Increasing clouds will give way to rain by midday, with the heaviest showers expected in the Central New York corridor, including Syracuse, Cortland, and Cooperstown.

Forecasters say winds will pick up through the afternoon, with gusts reaching 20–30 mph tonight and 25–35 mph possible on Tuesday. Temperatures will stay mild for early November, with highs in the mid-50s to near 60°F.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with a few lake-effect rain showers possible, especially in areas downwind of Lake Ontario. Highs will remain in the 50s before clouds increase again midweek, bringing another round of rain by Wednesday afternoon.

Residents should secure outdoor items and prepare for breezy conditions during the evening commute.
