Binghamton, NY – Central New York will enjoy a stretch of mild, dry fall weather to start the week, with sunshine today followed by breezy but mostly dry conditions Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton.
Forecasters say high pressure remains in control Sunday, keeping skies mostly clear after some early fog and low clouds. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s to mid-50s, several degrees warmer than average for early November.
A mostly dry cold front will move through the area Monday night into Tuesday, bringing gusty northwest winds but only minimal chances for precipitation. Temperatures will stay mild through Monday before cooling slightly behind the front midweek.
Meteorologists expect continued dry weather for most of the week, making for favorable travel and outdoor conditions across the Southern Tier, Finger Lakes, and Mohawk Valley regions.
