Binghamton, NY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton says Central New York will remain cool and cloudy today with scattered lake-effect rain showers, mainly north and west of the region, before conditions dry out overnight.

Forecasters report highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s Saturday, with light northwesterly winds helping push patchy showers across Ithaca, Norwich, and Cooperstown. Rain chances will taper off after sunset as high pressure builds in from the north, though clouds are expected to linger into Sunday.

Sunday will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies and slightly warmer afternoon highs in the low to mid-50s, marking the start of a drier stretch into early next week.

The NWS notes that no severe weather or significant rainfall is expected, but travelers should anticipate damp roads and cooler air through the evening.
