Binghamton, NY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton reports that quiet and chilly weather will continue today (Saturday) before a clipper system brings light snow Sunday afternoon through Sunday night.
Highs today will range from the low 30s north to the upper 30s south, under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Snow will move into the area Sunday afternoon, spreading across central New York and northeast Pennsylvania by evening. Most locations are expected to see 1–2 inches of accumulation, while higher elevations north of Binghamton and near the Tug Hill Plateau could receive up to 3 inches.
Roads may become slick in spots, especially during the evening and overnight hours. Motorists are advised to use caution as visibility may briefly decrease during periods of heavier snow.
