Binghamton, New York – Relief from muggy weather is finally arriving in the Southern Tier and Central New York as drier air pushes south from Canada today, bringing more comfortable humidity levels and only a few isolated showers in the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, temperatures will reach the low to upper 80s across cities like Ithaca, Cortland, and Elmira. Dewpoints will drop into the low 60s this afternoon, falling into the 50s overnight.
A few spotty rain showers may form across Northeast Pennsylvania and the Catskills this evening, but widespread precipitation is not expected. The trend toward drier, more pleasant air will continue into Friday.
Skies will clear overnight, leading into a sunny and seasonable start to the weekend.
