Forecasters warn that peak wind gusts could reach 50 to 55 mph, particularly in gap locations and foothill areas. The strongest winds are expected between 10 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday, with additional gusty conditions lingering into the afternoon.
Motorists, especially those driving high-profile vehicles such as semis and RVs, are advised to use extreme caution or delay travel during the period of strongest winds. Sudden gusts could make steering difficult, particularly along exposed roadways.
