MACON, GA – A wanted man was taken into custody overnight in Bibb County after investigators spotted him walking with two machetes, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Property Unit Investigator Adam Grant recognized the male while on an overnight detail along Fulton Mill Road. The suspect was reportedly holding one machete and had another visible in a bookbag.
According to the report, the investigator confirmed the man was wanted on active warrants from two different counties. He was then taken into custody without incident. Authorities did not release the suspect’s name or the details of the outstanding warrants.
No injuries were reported during the arrest. Deputies credited quick recognition and situational awareness for bringing the suspect safely into custody.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office shared the update on social media Thursday morning, noting that the case remains under investigation.
