Macon, GA – A Macon man is in custody following his arrest in connection with a violent assault on Rocky Creek Road earlier this summer.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 21-year-old Khaleel Maurice Taylor of Macon on September 21, 2025, around 4:42 p.m. at a convenience store in the 2400 block of Rocky Creek Road. Taylor was wanted in connection with an aggravated assault investigation stemming from a shooting that occurred at a Chevron gas station on August 1.

Taylor has been transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where he faces two counts of aggravated assault. Authorities confirmed he is being held without bond.

Deputies reported that the August 1 incident happened just after midnight at the Chevron on 1106 Rocky Creek Road. Responding officers found a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. A third victim, age 22, was transported to the hospital separately after also being shot. Investigators said the men’s injuries were not life-threatening.
