Macon, GA – A wanted driver was taken into custody on Rocky Creek Road after a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop for an alleged vehicle violation.

According to a report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, H.E.A.T. Unit Deputy Dalton Palmer stopped an Acura for having an illegal license plate cover that concealed the vehicle’s registration sticker. Authorities said the driver was knowingly operating the vehicle on a suspended or revoked license.

The sheriff’s office added that the motorist was also wanted on an active warrant and was arrested at the scene. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The department shared a photo of the stop, showing a H.E.A.T. patrol vehicle behind the silver Acura in what appeared to be a parking lot area off Rocky Creek Road.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers that obscuring license plate details or driving on a suspended license can result in criminal charges and vehicle impoundment.
