Macon, GA – A Bibb County driver was taken into custody this week after deputies found him unresponsive behind the wheel of a truck still in drive on Buena Vista Road.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Patrol Division deputies responded to a call and discovered the man hanging out of the window of a GMC Sierra that had not been shifted out of gear. Deputies placed the truck in park and conducted field sobriety and breathalyzer tests.
The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of multiple substances, authorities said. Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit Deputy Dalton Palmer transported the suspect to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without incident.

Residents traveling along Buena Vista were not reported to be in danger at the time of the incident, as deputies quickly secured the vehicle.
