BIBB COUNTY, GA – Deputies in Bibb County announced an arrest today tied to a series of commercial burglaries impacting several downtown Macon businesses this fall. The update follows a weeks-long investigation that brought together patrol deputies and criminal investigators.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were first alerted on Saturday, November 15, 2025, after receiving a report of a suspicious male in the 500 block of Cherry Street. A witness pointed deputies toward a person of interest connected to recent break-ins at Fatty’s Pizza on Cherry Street. Deputies located the individual near the intersection of Poplar Street and Second Street.

Investigators say the suspect—identified as sixty-five-year-old Raymond Lester Andrews Jr. of Macon—was confirmed to be the same individual allegedly involved in two earlier burglaries at the same business on October 15 and November 12, 2025. Deputies took Andrews into custody without incident and transported him to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Further review by the Criminal Investigation Division connected Andrews to two more downtown commercial burglaries. According to investigators, the additional break-ins occurred at Your Pie Pizza on Poplar Street on October 19, 2025, and Fall Line Brewery on Plum Street on September 11, 2025.

Andrews has been charged with three counts of felony second-degree burglary and is currently being held without bond, the sheriff’s office said.

The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
