Berwyn, IL – Berwyn Police are asking for the public’s help after six suspects fled a stolen vehicle linked to a string of commercial burglaries across the Chicago area early Wednesday morning.
According to the Berwyn Police Department, officers responded around 5:26 a.m. on December 17, 2025, to the 6800 block of Cermak Road for reports of suspicious individuals wearing ski masks and entering a white Dodge Durango. The SUV matched one reportedly tied to multiple recent business burglaries.
When officers approached, six male suspects allegedly ran from the scene in several directions, evading police despite an aerial search using a drone. The vehicle was later confirmed to be stolen, and a search uncovered multiple firearms, burglary tools, and U.S. currency believed to have been stolen from a nearby business.
Investigators also recovered surveillance footage showing one suspect. Police describe him as a Black male wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, dark joggers, and black sneakers.
Authorities believe this group may be responsible for multiple commercial burglaries in neighboring communities.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Berwyn Police at 708-795-5600 or Unit Commander Michael Gallagher at 708-795-2160.
