Berks County, PA Sheriff: Suspect in Aggravated Assault Taken into Custody

Reading, PA – A Berks County man was arrested last week after authorities say he was wanted on a felony aggravated assault charge involving a deadly weapon.

According to the Berks County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Warrants Unit apprehended Ramon Encarnacion-Dejesus on Friday, September 5, on the 800 block of Water Street in Shoemakersville. The arrest stemmed from a warrant filed by the Reading Police Department on August 23.

Officials said Encarnacion-Dejesus was transported to the Central Booking Center, where he was processed and arraigned. His bail was set at $30,000 secured, and he was later released after posting bail.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized its continued focus on public safety, stating that the agency “remains committed to keeping our communities safe.”

Encarnacion-Dejesus faces a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court dates and further proceedings in the case have not yet been released.
