Berkeley County, WV – A 34-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash in Berkeley County, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 4 a.m. on November 22, 2025, to a crash at the intersection of Butts Mill Road and Ferrels Ridge Road. Investigators say a 2012 silver Ford F-250 had struck a tree. The driver, identified as Bradley Dinges, was found deceased at the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, preliminary findings indicate the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed the median, left the roadway, and hit the tree. Deputies said both speed and alcohol are believed to have been contributing factors.

“This is a tragic and unnecessary loss of life,” Sheriff Robert Blair stated, adding that impaired and reckless driving remain major threats on local roadways. He emphasized the department’s ongoing efforts to enforce impaired-driving and traffic laws across the county.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to Dinges’ family and friends. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
