Martinsburg, WV – A series of joint narcotics operations in Berkeley County this week led to multiple arrests, seized firearms, and the recovery of significant quantities of controlled substances, officials said.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division and the Martinsburg Police Department carried out two targeted enforcement actions on November 18 and November 20, both aimed at disrupting ongoing drug distribution activity in the Martinsburg area.

The first operation occurred Tuesday, November 18, 2025, around 11:44 p.m., when investigators executed a search warrant at the America’s Best Value Inn. Deputies arrested Joshua Dande Gay, 38, who allegedly had an active warrant for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Also arrested was Lisa Lynn Church, 44, wanted for Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance.

During the search, investigators seized 4.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, 9 grams of crack cocaine, 8 grams of methamphetamine, 9 Suboxone strips, and a stolen handgun, authorities said.

A second operation followed two days later on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at about 8:19 p.m., resulting in the arrest of Montina Dorsel Knight, 36, who allegedly delivered crack cocaine. A search warrant executed at 187 Bunting Avenue in Martinsburg produced approximately ½ ounce of crack cocaine, ¾ ounce of cocaine, 19 vials of methadone, and a firearm. Officials added that additional charges for Knight are pending.

Sheriff Robert Blair said the coordinated operations are part of ongoing efforts to reduce drug trafficking in Berkeley County. “Our continued cooperation with the Martinsburg Police Department is making a measurable impact on drug trafficking within our community,” Blair said.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to submit anonymous tips on drug activity or wanted individuals by calling 304-267-7000 or using the county’s online tip form.
