Moncks Corner, SC – A community-wide baby formula drive is now underway in Berkeley County as local families continue to face financial challenges tied to the ongoing government shutdown. The “Giving Thanks, Giving Formula” campaign runs from November 3 through December 19, 2025, offering residents two simple ways to help families in need.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the initiative is a partnership with Works of Peace Counseling for Women, a local nonprofit supporting women and families in crisis. The effort aims to ensure that infants throughout the county have access to essential nutrition during the holiday season.
Donations of unopened, WIC-approved formula can be dropped off at the following sheriff’s office locations:
- Moncks Corner: 223 N. Live Oak Drive
 - Goose Creek (South District): 653 Red Bank Road
 - Summerville (Sangaree): 347 Sangaree Parkway

Supporters can also contribute via the Amazon Wishlist linked on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
“This partnership shows what we can accomplish when law enforcement and local organizations come together for the community,” Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “Every donation counts, and together we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in Berkeley County.”
The collection drive will continue through December 19, with all donations distributed directly to local families in need.
