Beaver Dam, Wisconsin – A three-vehicle crash at a Dodge County intersection sent two people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon and remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday to a serious injury crash at the intersection of County Highway A and County Highway B in the town of Beaver Dam.

Investigators determined a 2022 white Kia, traveling westbound on County Highway B, allegedly failed to yield the right of way to a semi tractor-trailer traveling southbound on County Highway A. The semi struck the Kia, which was then hit by a third vehicle, a 2017 Ford F-150 traveling northbound on County Highway A.

The Kia was driven by a 21-year-old woman from Waupun. Her passenger, a 53-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, was also inside the vehicle. Authorities said both occupants sustained serious injuries. The driver was transported to Marshfield Medical Center–Beaver Dam, and the passenger was airlifted to Aurora–Summit Hospital by Flight for Life.

The semi driver, identified as a 24-year-old man from Whitewater, was not injured. The Ford F-150 had five occupants, including a 42-year-old driver from Port Washington, a 38-year-old woman, and their three minor children. All were reported uninjured.

Assisting agencies included the Beaver Dam Fire Department and paramedics, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Dodge County Highway Department, Flight for Life, and the Beaver Dam Police Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Questions may be directed to Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt.
