San Francisco, CA – The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a High Wind Warning for the Marin Coastal Range and North Bay coast, including Point Reyes National Seashore, in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters warn of south winds between 25 and 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph—and isolated gusts near 65 mph possible early Wednesday morning as a strong cold front sweeps through the Bay Area.

According to the National Weather Service, damaging winds could down trees, snap power lines, and cause widespread outages. Travel may become extremely difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles on exposed roads and bridges. Coastal and ridge-top communities are expected to experience the strongest gusts between midnight and dawn Wednesday.

Residents are urged to remain indoors during peak winds, avoid parking near trees, and secure outdoor objects that could be blown away. Power companies are preparing for potential outages as emergency crews brace for debris and hazardous travel conditions overnight.

The North Bay is expected to see improving conditions by late Wednesday afternoon, though scattered outages and cleanup efforts may continue through the evening.
