Barnstable, MA – The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) handled 108 service calls in November 2025, according to new data shared this week. The report highlights a mix of vehicle accidents, assault cases, and evidence recovery across Cape Cod communities.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators responded to 37 motor vehicle accidents, 22 breaking and entering incidents, and 16 assault and battery cases during the month. The BCI team also conducted seven drone missions to assist local departments with scene documentation and evidence collection.

The office’s evidence unit processed a range of forensic materials. Investigators recovered 23 latent fingerprints, collected 28 items of evidence, and transferred 27 items to the Massachusetts State Police Lab for further testing. Another 31 pieces of evidence were returned after analysis.

Sheriff officials say the BCI team remains on call for all major incidents, including crash investigations, fingerprint recovery, and scene analysis. The collaborative work supports multiple Cape police departments, from Bourne to Wellfleet.

Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity promptly to assist ongoing investigations across Barnstable County.
