Barking Dog Argument in Indiana Leads to Attempted Murder Charges

Perry County – A late-night dispute over a barking dog led to the arrest of Tyler Richardson, 32, of St. Croix, on charges of attempted murder and other felonies.

According to the Indiana State Police, officers responded to a residence at 12095 SR 62, St. Croix, around 11:50 p.m. Sunday after a verbal argument escalated into gunfire. Richardson allegedly shot James Morris, 32, of Tell City, during a confrontation about a barking dog. Morris, who was unarmed and visiting his in-laws, is being treated for serious injuries at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Richardson faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery, and criminal recklessness. He is currently held at the Perry County Jail.
