Baltimore, Maryland – Baltimore and Washington D.C. residents can expect a spectacular holiday weekend with high pressure bringing sunny skies, low humidity, and pleasant temperatures. The refreshing conditions are a welcome change as the summer season winds down.
According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office, the high-pressure system will provide mainly dry conditions and below-normal temperatures through Monday. The one minor exception is a slight chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm in the Allegheny Highlands on Sunday afternoon. For most of the region, including the I-95 corridor and major urban centers, the weather will be ideal for outdoor activities and travel.
Residents should take advantage of the perfect weather for Labor Day celebrations. Temperatures in the Baltimore and D.C. urban and bay areas will be in the mid-to-high 70s on Saturday and rise slightly to the low 80s by Monday. Meanwhile, mountains will see cooler highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Winds will be light, coming from the north and northeast at 3-10 mph, making for comfortable conditions across the board.
The dry, comfortable weather pattern is expected to continue through the holiday, with no widespread weather impacts on travel or outdoor plans. Warnings and advisories are not anticipated for the rest of the weekend.
