Baltimore/Washington, DC – After a chilly start around the freezing mark, temperatures are set to rebound nicely today across the Mid-Atlantic, with highs reaching the upper 50s to mid-60s under gusty south winds, according to the US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington.
Southerly gusts between 20–30 mph will help bring a warmer feel to the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Rain showers are expected to hold off until tonight, when the front moves through the area.
Saturday should feature mild and mostly dry conditions, with highs ranging from the 50s in the mountains to the low 70s east of I-95. However, a second, stronger cold front will move through late Sunday, ushering in much colder air for early next week.
By Monday, highs will drop back into the 40s and 50s, marking a sharp contrast from today’s milder air.
Residents across Maryland, northern Virginia, and the D.C. metro should enjoy the mild spell today and Saturday before bundling up again late in the weekend.
