Towson, MD – A fatal two-vehicle crash in the Bowleys Quarters area of eastern Baltimore County is under active investigation following a deadly collision Wednesday morning.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, officers responded around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a vehicle collision near Carroll Island Road and Dunsmuir Circle in the 21220 ZIP code. The crash occurred in the Bowleys Quarters community, northeast of Baltimore.

Police investigators determined that a 2005 Buick LaSabre was traveling northbound on Carroll Island Road when it crossed the center line and struck a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Dodge traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Buick was identified as 57-year-old Robert Gaydos. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, according to police.

The driver of the Dodge pickup truck and a juvenile passenger were also taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities said both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
