Baltimore, MD – A coastal flood advisory is in effect through Saturday morning as isolated thunderstorms and showers move into the region tonight. Areas near Route 40 and the Patapsco River are at risk of localized flooding, particularly after 8 p.m., when thunderstorms are expected to arrive. Residents in low-lying areas should take precautions and avoid flood-prone roads.
According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms will continue through 11 p.m., followed by patchy fog that could reduce visibility for early morning travelers. The advisory urges motorists to use caution and avoid driving through flooded roadways, which may be especially hazardous near the city’s waterfronts.
Saturday morning will start with patchy fog, but the skies are expected to clear by mid-morning, leading to a sunny day with a high near 79°F. Sunday promises to bring more sunshine and mild temperatures, with a high of 77°F, making for a pleasant weekend ahead.
