BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON, D.C. – A chilly early December pattern continues across the region as several clipper systems move through, according to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington.
Snow and blustery winds will persist along the Alleghenies through this morning before a brief lull develops later today. Another weak system is expected to arrive Friday, bringing light snow to portions of the area — mainly in the mountains — before tapering off by early Saturday.
Temperatures will remain well below normal, with highs generally in the upper 30s to low 40s east of the mountains and 20s to 30s farther west. Wind chills will make it feel even colder, particularly in higher elevations.
Drivers traveling along the I-68 corridor and through western Maryland should watch for slick spots and reduced visibility during snow showers.
