Baltimore, MD – Residents across the Baltimore–Washington region can expect a shift toward cooler, fall-like weather as a cold front moves through the area today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Baltimore/Washington.
High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to mid-70s this afternoon, with areas in the Alleghenies remaining cooler in the 50s. The NWS says rain showers are possible this afternoon and evening as the front sweeps eastward.
By Wednesday, cooler air will settle in with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s and overnight lows dipping into the mid-30s to mid-40s. Thursday is expected to bring similar conditions with partly cloudy skies and continued cool mornings.
The NWS encourages residents to prepare for brisker mornings later this week and to check forecasts for any localized rainfall or temperature drops, particularly in higher elevations.
