Baltimore County, MD – Detectives are again asking for the public’s help in solving the 2005 homicide of 23-year-old Tiona Smith, who was killed after leaving work at a McDonald’s in Cockeysville.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, Smith left her job at the Cranbrook Road McDonald’s around 10:45 p.m. on November 5, 2005. Investigators say she boarded an MTA bus to Eutaw and Fayette streets in Baltimore City, where she was last seen getting into a small four-door car. That was the final confirmed sighting before her death.

At approximately 11 a.m. the next morning, November 6, Smith’s body was discovered behind a home on the 6800 block of Fox Meadow Road in Baltimore County. Authorities say she was still wearing her McDonald’s uniform and had sustained trauma to her head and upper body. The Medical Examiner determined her death was a homicide caused by multiple sharp force injuries.

Police continue to investigate the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted to Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or by contacting the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-887-3943.
