According to the Baltimore County Police Department, Ricardo Sawyer allegedly used social media, pamphlets, and business cards to approach potential victims in the Towson area. Detectives from the department’s Special Victims Unit and Crimes Against Children Unit launched an investigation after multiple juvenile victims came forward reporting instances of sex trafficking.

The investigation was conducted in collaboration with the FBI Baltimore Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Officials said several victims have already been identified but believe there may be more individuals affected who have yet to come forward.
