Baltimore, MD – Warm weather will linger into Tuesday with high temperatures reaching 70°F, but a sharp shift is coming. Rain and cooler temperatures are forecast by midweek, impacting travel and outdoor plans.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will remain mostly sunny through the morning, with a high of 70°F. Clouds will move in late in the afternoon, and a chance of showers will develop overnight. Commuters should prepare for reduced visibility during early morning hours on Wednesday as rain intensifies into the evening.
By Wednesday, temperatures will dip to a high of 61°F, with a stronger cold front expected by Thursday. Gusty winds and scattered showers could impact higher elevations, particularly in areas west of the city and along I-70.
Thursday’s high will struggle to reach 55°F, and lows will fall into the upper 30s. The Alleghenies could even see light snow on Thursday night. Friday brings similar conditions, with another round of showers expected in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover around 51°F before drying out by Saturday.
Drivers are encouraged to check road conditions along major routes like I-95 and I-70 as wet roads could make travel hazardous. Residents planning outdoor activities should take advantage of Tuesday’s mild weather before cooler, wetter conditions settle in later this week.
