Austin, TX – Central Texas residents can expect warm, dry weather through the end of the workweek, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s and no significant rainfall until late Friday.

According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio office, high pressure will maintain clear to partly cloudy skies across the region through Thursday. Daytime highs will range between 88°F and 92°F, while overnight lows will dip into the upper 50s and mid-60s.

Moisture begins to increase Friday afternoon, bringing a 20% chance of rain late in the day. Rain and isolated storms are more likely Friday night into Saturday, when storm chances climb to 30% across the Hill Country and I-35 corridor, including San Antonio and Austin.

Though no severe weather is currently forecast, residents should remain weather-aware heading into the weekend, especially with outdoor plans. Temperatures on Saturday are expected to remain warm, with highs between 86°F and 93°F.

Officials recommend staying hydrated, wearing sunscreen, and limiting outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat. The pattern of hot and dry spring conditions is typical for Central Texas but may heighten fire risks in grassy areas.
