AUSTIN, Texas – Central and South Texas will enjoy a cool, calm fall night before a significant warm-up takes hold through the week. Lows will dip into the low to mid-40s across the Hill Country and the mid-40s to low 50s elsewhere under clear skies. The National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio reports that a dry, stable air mass will keep skies clear and winds light through the overnight hours.

According to the Weather Service, a steady warming trend begins Monday, with daytime highs climbing into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. By mid- to late week, highs are forecast to reach the mid to upper 80s, especially along the I-35 corridor from Austin to San Antonio and west toward Del Rio. No rain is expected for at least the next seven days as a ridge of high pressure dominates the region.

Cooler nights will persist early in the week, providing ideal conditions for evening outdoor events, ranching, and travel. Residents should continue to monitor humidity levels and avoid outdoor burning, as vegetation remains dry despite the mild temperatures.

The Weather Service notes that this stretch of warm, dry weather will likely last into next weekend before any pattern changes occur.
