The National Weather Service office serving Austin and San Antonio reports overnight lows falling into the mid-30s to mid-40s across Central Texas as clouds decrease. In Austin, lows are expected near the upper 30s to low 40s, with light west to southwest winds.
No weather alerts or hazards are in effect. Forecasters emphasized that conditions tonight will be cool but seasonable for mid-January.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to trend warmer for the next seven days, with daytime highs generally in the 60s to low 70s across much of the region. Overnight lows are forecast to remain mostly in the 30s and 40s, with no signs of freezing temperatures in the Austin metro.
