San Antonio, TX – A windy and cooler Monday is sweeping across South-Central Texas, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph from Austin to San Antonio.

According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio office, northwest to north winds will range from 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts between 30 and 40 mph through the day. Temperatures are expected to stay cooler than usual, ranging from the mid-50s in the Hill Country to the low 70s in the southern Rio Grande Plains.

Cities including Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and Llano will see highs in the 50s to low 60s, while San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Pleasanton are forecast to reach the mid-60s. The region will remain dry with minimal weather impacts beyond gusty conditions.

The winds may pose minor travel disruptions, particularly for high-profile vehicles on north-south highways like I-35. Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and remain cautious in open areas.

The week ahead looks warm and dry, with sunny skies and gradually rising temperatures through Friday. Morning lows will hover in the 40s and 50s, offering cool starts to otherwise clear days across the region.
