Austin, TX – Central and South Texas will see a cool, cloudy Friday with spotty light rain through the morning before conditions dry out for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio.
Highs today will range from the low 50s along the Coastal Plains to the low 60s across the Hill Country, with light winds near 10 mph shifting from northerly to southerly by afternoon. Rainfall is expected to taper off by midday, leaving behind dry and mostly cloudy skies through tonight.
Looking ahead, temperatures will moderate into the upper 60s and 70s this weekend, with a mix of clouds and sunshine expected. No additional rainfall is forecast through at least midweek. Early next week may bring slightly cooler conditions as a cold front moves through before sunshine and mild air return during the latter half of the week.
