Austin, TX – Cloud cover will increase tonight across south-central Texas as isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms develop in western areas by early Sunday morning. The National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio says temperatures will range from the upper 40s in the northern Hill Country to near 60 degrees across southern counties.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will become mostly cloudy by late evening, with the first showers and isolated thunderstorms forming toward the early morning hours, especially near Rocksprings, Del Rio, Brackettville, and Val Verde County. A few pockets of heavier downpours may occur but widespread severe weather is not expected.

Farther east—toward Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio—conditions will remain dry overnight with mostly cloudy skies. Patchy fog may also form before sunrise in low-lying areas, though confidence remains low.

East-northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph will keep conditions cool across the Hill Country, where many locations are expected to fall into the upper 40s to low 50s. Areas south of I-10 and along the Rio Grande will remain milder, with readings in the mid-to-upper 50s.

Shower chances expand eastward Sunday afternoon, setting the stage for a more unsettled pattern early next week.
