Austin, TX – Central Texas residents can expect summer-like heat to continue into the weekend, with temperatures ranging from the mid-80s in the Hill Country to the upper 90s across Austin, La Grange, and Gonzales.

According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio, isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday, mainly across eastern counties including Austin, Cuero, and Pleasanton. Highs will remain steady in the mid-90s through Monday before slightly cooling into the low 90s by midweek.

Rain chances remain low through the weekend but begin to climb on Tuesday and Wednesday, with probabilities reaching 30 to 40 percent in areas such as La Grange, Gonzales, and Cuero. San Antonio, Austin, and New Braunfels could also see scattered showers as the week progresses.

The overall forecast suggests a “seasonably warm” pattern, with temperatures trending just above average through Sunday before easing closer to normal. Residents planning outdoor events early next week should monitor updates, as storms could bring brief heavy downpours and lightning.

This pattern brings a shift from the dry, hot stretch Central Texas has seen, offering some relief to lawns and gardens, though rain totals are not expected to be widespread.
