Austin–San Antonio, TX – The US National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio reports chilly and damp conditions continuing across much of Central and South-Central Texas today and Friday, especially for areas east of Interstate 35.
Highs this afternoon will reach the low to mid-50s for Austin, upper 50s to near 60°F for San Antonio, and around 60–64°F toward Eagle Pass and Del Rio. Light rain and drizzle will persist through Friday morning before skies begin to clear from west to east.
The weekend forecast turns milder and drier, with highs climbing into the upper 60s to mid-70s and plenty of sunshine expected. Another cool front is likely early next week, bringing a return to chillier mornings by Monday and Tuesday.
Drivers should remain alert for wet roads this morning, especially during the commute.
