Austin, TX – South-Central Texas is heating up this weekend with unseasonably warm temperatures expected across the region Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio.
Highs will climb into the mid-80s across the Hill Country and mid-90s along the I-35 corridor and Rio Grande Plains, including San Antonio, Austin, and Carrizo Springs. Morning clouds will give way to sunny and partly cloudy skies by midday.
Winds will shift from the south/southwest early to the west and northwest by afternoon, bringing light to moderate gusts.
A cooler Sunday is expected as temperatures dip slightly before rebounding into the 80s and low 90s next week. Rain chances remain low, with dry weather dominating through the coming workweek.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during peak afternoon heat.
