Aurora, Ill. — The City of Aurora shared a reminder of firework viewing information for the city’s Fourth of July firework show on Thursday, July 3. The show will begin at 9:15 a.m.
The city will have two firework viewing locations. Guests can watch the fireworks at the Aurora Transportation Center on Broadway Avenue or McCullough Park on Illinois Avenue. Both locations will have a DJ and food trucks for the viewing event.
Additionally, the city will be offering a free shuttle service to both locations. These shuttles are park-and-ride and will operate round-trip services from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Following the fireworks show, the departing shuttles will make trips until 11:00 p.m.
For those commuting directly to the Aurora Transportation Center, the City of Aurora notified drivers that the Aurora Transportation parking lot will be closed beginning 1:00 a.m. on July 3. Commuters should use the Route 59 train station instead. However, handicap parking will be available at the lot south of the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot.
