Aurora, IL – Police have released additional details in a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday night at the Two Brothers Roundhouse in downtown Aurora, leaving two people dead and one in critical condition.
According to the Aurora Police Department and the Kane County Coroner’s Office, the incident happened around 9:10 p.m. on November 22, when officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire at 205 N. Broadway. Three people were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified the deceased as Jazmine Barclay, 24, of Aurora, and Bryan Heineman, 43, of Naperville. Police say Heineman, who had reportedly been in a dating relationship with Barclay, entered the venue Saturday night and confronted Barclay and another man in the upper-level music room. Evidence suggests Heineman went there specifically to confront them after learning their location from a social media post.
Moments later, police say Heineman allegedly opened fire, striking both victims before turning the gun on himself. Barclay died at Mercy Hospital, while Heineman was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 33-year-old male victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
“This was a deeply traumatic event for the victims, their families, and our community,” said Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas. “Our hearts are with everyone impacted by this tragedy.”
Authorities emphasized that no bystanders were hurt and that the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 256-5500.
