Aurora, IL – The Aurora Police Department is urging visitors to the Christkindlmarket Aurora to plan ahead this weekend, as parking lots near the event are expected to fill quickly.
According to police, the Aurora Transportation Center (ATC) main lot at 233 N. Broadway costs $10 per day and typically fills up early. An overflow lot at 130 N. Lincoln Ave. is also available for $2 per day, but drivers should expect limited space.
Officials recommend using the City of Aurora’s River Street lots (W, X, Y, and A) at 309 N. River St., which are free and offer easy access to the market via the new pedestrian bridge into RiverEdge Park.
Handicap parking is available in all lots, and payment can be made via ParkMobile or pay stations where indicated. Police remind attendees that RiverEdge Park and the City of Aurora are not responsible for vehicle damage in the ATC lots.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, follow posted signage, and allow extra time for parking and walking to the venue.
